OpSight carries out ongoing research and development in the field of artificial intelligence applied to industrial processes, in compliance with the requirements set by art. 25 of Decree-Law 179/2012 for the innovative-startup status. The main research areas include:

OpSight has filed a patent application for a proprietary method of orchestrating the industrial-component recognition cycle, which forms the technological core of the SpareParts platform.

The software developed is also protected by Italian copyright law applicable to computer programs (Law 633/1941 and Legislative Decree 518/1992). The trademarks "OpSight" and "SpareParts" are used by the company in its commercial activity.
